H loves to watch football and we are always looking for fun little snack foods to make. I will let her tell you all about the football and I will talk about the food. These baby pig-in-the-blankets are really easy to cook. You just need a package of smokies (little sausages) and a tube of crescent roles. Preheat the oven to whatever it says on the container. Unroll the crescent rolls and cut them in half on the long edge so you have two very skinny triangles. I like to warm the smokies up in the microwave first just to get them warm so you don’t have crescent roll dough trying to cook while it’s wrapped around something cold. Then roll those smokies up and put them on a cookie sheet that has parchment paper on it or has been sprayed with cooking spray. You could also use wienies and just cut them into thirds. You could stuff a piece of cheese into a wienie and wrap. Or brush the crescent rolls with egg to make them shiny, brush with melted butter and sesame seeds. You can imagine the possibilities here. This is a very inexpensive recipe that could be taken to parties and they are so cute. I hope you will try them.
